FUNDING CRITERIA FOR THE SPAZA SHOPS AND GENERAL DEALERS SUPPORT SCHEME:
- The shop must be managed by the owner.
- Registration via SA SMME portal.
- Must be buying products manufactured locally.
- They must have a permit to trade and municipalities, if not, the Department will assist with this.
- Must be registered with Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC), if not, the Department will assist with this.
- Must be registered with South Africa Revenue Services (SARS), if not, the Department will assist with this.
- Must be registered with Unemployed Insurance Fund (UIF), if not, the Department will assist with this.
HOW TO APPLY FOR THE SPAZA SHOPS AND GENERAL DEALERS SUPPORT SCHEME:
- Register on https://smmesa.gov.za/
- Complete online application form.
- Upload required supporting documents.
DOCUMENTATION TO BE PROVIDED FOR THE SPAZA SHOPS AND GENERAL DEALERS SUPPORT SCHEME:
- Must have a permit to trade issued by the municipality, if not, the Department will assist with this.
